In 2019, the excitement for Game of Thrones reached an all-time high. After years of dedicated fans traversing the world of Westeros alongside their favorite characters, the final season was here.

To celebrate the release of the final season, Warner Bros and HBO hosted an internal employee premiere showcasing the eighth season, “For the Throne,” encouraging everyone to celebrate.

For this event, The Food Truck Group was invited to be part of the experience. We brought one of the food trucks in our network, Burnt To A Crisp Texas Smokehouse, to serve the Warner Bros and HBO employees that were gathered to celebrate. While the premiere would be shown inside the theater, the food truck was stationed nearby so everyone could look forward to a good meal.

A Premiere Just for the Team

The “For the Throne” employee premiere was made to celebrate the internal teams who made this possible. Their efforts clearly contributed to the show’s success, and we believe that there’s no better way to honor their work than to let them see the culmination of their work on the big screen.

The atmosphere for this event was personal. Employees worked hard to make our favorite shows come out as amazing as they are. The employees gathered at the Game of Thrones final season premiere understand the late nights, revisions, pressure, and daily requirements their jobs require. By participating in this event, they show their support for everyone who worked on it.

This was Warner Bros and HBO’s way of saying thank you to all the hard workers.

Our role was simple, but important. We were there to keep the employees fed so they could focus on the show.

Bringing Burnt To A Crisp to Warner Bros

For this occasion, we brought Burnt To A Crisp as the perfect fit for the premiere. It’s known for hearty, Texas-style barbeque and bold flavors packed in every bite.

The meals we brought involved juicy hamburgers with sliced or chopped brisket options, alongside other options for people to choose from on the menu.

As employees arrived and made their way to the food truck, their conversations were clear as day. It was obvious to us that everyone was excited about the season finale.

The Energy Inside the Food Truck

While the employees celebrated, the team inside Burnt To A Crisp worked hard behind the scenes.

Orders must be called out, brisket sliced, and hamburgers wrapped to give to customers. It took focus to keep up with the crowd, but our team enjoyed the challenge.

The crew working that day had an incredible time. Everyone inside the truck understood the scale of what we were supporting, and we are proud to have been chosen to give the employees a good meal.

Food as Part of the Celebration

At any premiere, the screening itself is the centerpiece, and with good reason. It is the main event and reason everyone gathers to watch the film that will play. But the experience surrounding it is just as vital.

Food plays an important role in that.

When people gather, they naturally gravitate towards the food served. It’s an important break that gives them pause to talk and connect with their friends.

Burnt To A Crisp provided food that felt satisfying and familiar. Sometimes, what people need isn’t a formal, sit-down dinner or complicated setup. What they need is the simplicity of walking up and ordering a meal at their own pace.

Why a Food Truck Made Sense

Large studio events can be unpredictable with the many things that must be accounted for. In that uncertainty, a food truck can easily adapt to those variables.

Burnt To A Crisp was able to set up efficiently within the Warner Bros lot and begin service without interrupting the flow of the event. Unlike traditional catering, which can require staging and setup, a food truck arrives ready to operate.

For large studios, partnering with small businesses forms a collaborative atmosphere that feels genuine. People will notice when small businesses are given a chance to shine.

Part of the Action

At The Food Truck Group, we’ve worked on brand activations, premieres, concerts, and community events across Los Angeles. Every event helped us improve and gain experience to carry over to future events.

The 2019 Warner Bros and HBO finale premiere, “For the Throne” stood out to us because of the impact the series had on so many people.

Game of Thrones saw great success many shows aspire to. It influenced pop culture, discussion, and could be found anywhere one looked. Even people who never watched the show knew its name.

We are honored to support the celebration of such a huge milestone by feeding the Warner Bros employees who made it possible.

Our role may have centered on something small like food, but it shapes how people will remember this moment. A well-run service, good food, and the premiere itself are both integral aspects that shape the overall feeling people have when it’s over.

The condiment is spread over the top bun. Behind the condiment are containers of pickle slices and onions. Beneath the hamburgers is white and red checkerboard paper to wrap the complete burgers in.

Behind the Scenes

Coordination is a vital part of making an event like this happen.

The Food Truck Group handled the logistics of bringing Burn To A Crisp onto the Warner Bros lot. That included coordinating service times, confirming placement of the food truck, reviewing menu details, and ensuring everything is operational for service.

When everything was confirmed, Burnt To A Crisp was ready to greet the Warner Bros employees with a warm smile and delicious food.

Why Entertainment and Food Trucks Are the Perfect Match

Entertainment relies on the atmosphere people find themselves in. Food trucks contribute to that in a natural way.

For starters, food trucks are adaptable, don’t overcomplicate the event, and are efficient. They serve high volumes without losing the personal touch that comes from ordering directly at a window and interacting with the people preparing your meal.

Food trucks also feel genuine, creating a relaxed and approachable atmosphere where people can talk casually and enjoy their food in an easy setting.

For celebrations and events that prioritize entertainment with a comfortable setting, food trucks add to the balance.

Thank You for the Opportunity

The Food Truck Group was honored to support the Warner Bros and HBO Game of Thrones final season employee premiere by bringing Burnt To A Crisp to serve everyone.

Feeding the dedicated workers of Warner Bros was a privilege. We’re always grateful to be trusted with events like this.

We look forward to continuing to support events just like this in the future, and to working alongside partners like Burnt To A Crisp whenever the opportunity arises.
